MakerBot Method X 3D Printer

The MakerBot Method X 3D Printer prints objects using a variety of materials via fused deposition modeling. Soluble support material maintains the integrity of complex shapes during the printing process.

Objects up to 7.5" x 7.5" x 7.75"  (19 x 19 x 19.6 cm) in size can be printed. Layer resolution is 20-400 microns, depending on material. Nozzle diameter is 0.4 mm.

Standard Model, Support and Carbon Fiber extruder heads are available. The following filaments are currently stocked:

  • Black ABS-R
  • Natural ABS-R
  • Black ASA
  • White ASA
  • RapidRinse Support
  • SR-30 Support

Additional print materials are available upon request.

The .makerbot file type is required for objects to be printed directly from the printer. STL, SolidWorks, Inventor, STEP, and other 3D CAD filetypes can be opened using the MakerBot Print software to be converted to .makerbot.
