AST VCA Optima XE
The VCA Optima XE tensiometer is a benchtop tool used to measure the contact angle of a water droplet on a material surface, which determines the level of hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity of the surface. The Optima XE software package provides the capability of measuring surface tension and surface energy of the material, as well as automated features and statistical analysis. Dispensing of droplets is computer controlled as well. Film sample holder and oversize stage are also available.
