PDMS Station

PDMS Station

The PDMS Station is available for mixing and curing PDMS (poly-dimethyl siloxane), commonly used to make devices for use in biomedical applications. PDMS is a gas permeable, sterilizable, and bio-compatible material that is resistant to many chemicals once cured. PDMS devices are used for myriad research applications, including single-cell analysis, capillary electrophoresis, and organ-on-a-chip. To make these devices, liquid monomer is mixed with a curing agent, degassed, poured over an inverse mold, and then cured in an oven — a process referred to as soft lithography.
